Yes! The best age to start preventing wrinkles is at 25 years old.

Do anti-wrinkle treatments hurt?

Just a tiny bit. However the needle that is used to do the treatment is very small.

Do anti-wrinkle treatments have side effects?

As with any drug, allergic reactions can happen, but it is very rare that this happen. Before injecting Botox there will be a face to face clinical assessment to guarantee that no interaction with pre existing medical condition or medication will happen.

How long do anti-wrinkle treatments last?

This can depend of the type of treatment, however it usually lasts between 3-6 months.

How much will it cost?

This will depend on the number of areas treated. But our aesthetician will make you aware of the costs before treatment.

What is filler used for?

Filler is used to get rid of deep lines, as well as enhancing the lips and cheeks as well.

What's the difference between fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments ?

Botox is used to get rid of dynamic lines, filler will remove static lines, sometimes for an optimal result a combination of both is recommended.

What results will filler give?

A deep, static line will smooth or disappear.

How long do fillers last?

This depends on the type of filler and the product used, but usually you can expect it to last from 4 months up to 12 months.

How much do fillers cost?

This will depend on the treatment and the amount of filler (in ml) used per treatment.

What is the difference between anti-wrinkle treatments and filler?

Anti-wrinkle treatments are used to eliminate the dynamic wrinkle, and dermal filler is used to smooth static wrinkles; a combination of both will give you the best outcome.

Anti-wrinkle and filler treatments can be had at the same time.

Do you treat hyperhidrosis (acute sweating)?

Yes, many patients that suffered from excessive sweating in the armpit have successful results.

How long before I see the benefits of treatment?

If you have an anti-wrinkle treatment, typically you will start to see the benefit after ten days and the peak will be reached after 14 days, however some people start seeing some changes after only a week.

If you have Dermal Filler you will see the results instantly, however the best result will be reached after 2 or 3 days because the dermal filler will keep absorbing water, further enhancing the initial result.

How long will the treatment last?

This depends on the type of treatment; however, the majority of the treatment will be between three and six months.

Is it painful?

A little! However, we use the thinnest needle that exists, so there is less pain. However, if you are very scared of needles and pain, I can apply an anaesthetic cream before the treatment free of charge.

Am I too old to have it done?

There are no upper age limits to the use of anti-wrinkle treatment, however, the patient has to get a realistic and clear expectation of what they are trying to achieve to avoid any disappointment.

Are there any follow-ups?

Yes, I will see you two weeks after treatment and more pictures will be taken to compare the before and after results.

How much will it cost?

Each treatment has a different cost depending on the number of areas treated or the amount of units required.

What happens if something goes wrong?

As an independent prescriber I will be able to prescribe an antibiotic or any other medication required in case of infection free of charge; I am trained for any aesthetic correction.

In case you missed it, the NPA ( National Pharmacy Association ) recently commenced a national campaign to Save Our local Pharmacies. The intention is to raising awareness of the potential for community pharmacies to do more for patients and the public by providing new NHS services, supported with viable levels of NHS funding. The NHS has seen massive increases in overall funding recent decades. In stark contrast, community pharmacies have forced to confront an eye-watering 40% pay cut. As a result, an unprecedented 1,300 community pharmacies have permanently closed. Each and every week ten more will close for good. Where does that leave patients? In this blog, we will examine the current state of pharmacy funding and why it needs to change, ask who actually are the NPA, and explain the raft of problems faced by community pharmacies.
